There must be two teams called Manchester United – on the one hand there’s a team that’s withdrawn from the English FA Cup due to being overstretched, while this lot, the current European champions, seem happy to jet halfway round the world in the middle of the season to play against the South American champions in a one-off match for the annual but largely meaningless Toyota Cup.
