With the excitement befitting a new spring wardrobe, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts presents ‘Try This On’, five simultaneous shows that address the ways in which artists investigate social behaviour and self-presentation. In other words, it’s an exhibition about clothes and make-up. The programme is highlighted by works and installations by Pierre et Gilles, an artist team who use costumes and lighting to exaggerate the feelings of their photographs. Rounding out the show are thematic pieces by Nikki S Lee, Laylah Ali, Cameron Jamie and the duo Andrea Robbins and Max Becher.
